Hello there and welcome to Less As More!
My name is Severina, pronounced Seh-veh-ri-na.
My husband Delyan, I and our son Viktor live in Munich by the river in the beautiful area Solln.
I love yoga and all things healthy and I have an unhealthy obsession with traveling the world.
Launched in November 2017 this blog is for everyone who wants to grow their blog traffic, email list, social media following and income, and turn their blog into a business that thrives.
While my main goal is to help small online businesses and blogs grow, I have way too many interests to just have this be about business!
That’s why I consider this space a lifestyle blog, created with love for minimalism of all shapes and sizes, including motherhood.
You are probably thinking that parenting and minimalism don’t belong together.
But I can assure you that minimalism with children is entirely possible.
However, it does require a little more effort, a little more thoughtfulness, and a lot more patience.
I am here to inspire to be more intentional and focus on what is important, in a creative kind of way.
HOW DID I COME UP WITH THE IDEA FOR “LESS AS MORE”?
I had been working for more than 10 years as a Business Consultant in the corporate world, the last 3 of them for a Fortune 100 Company. I had a lot of built-up frustration in myself.
In June 2016 I gave birth to our son Viktor and went on a maternity leave. A break that I desperately needed.
When you constantly chase project timelines and work crazy office hours, it is very difficult to shift your focus towards something else.
The maternity leave, on the other hand, is the perfect time to try on new things and explore without fear.
Between changing nappies and breastfeeding, I had plenty of time away to step back and reflect on my future.
I wanted more flexibility in my working hours, less stress, and more creativity.
And I’ve always had a thing for writing.
I ran a blog back in 2011-2012 which I had to abandon after I accepted a very demanding consulting job and moved to Austria.
Having worked as a Business Consultant for so many years, my main job was always to help others.
My most lasting and fulfilling achievements were often earned by helping others overcome a problem or fulfill their own achievement.
Why LESS AS MORE?
You have probably heard the famous expression “Less is More”.
If we are smart and deliberate, we can accomplish more with less.
Enjoy more with less.
Be more with less.
Because less is more!
My miswording is deliberate.
